Ben Whishaw who joined the Bond 'family' with 2012's 'Skyfall' is also in the dark about Bond 25 plans. The actor, who is voicing Paddington in the sequel to the live-action/CG-mashup, commented in the course of doing the press for his recent voice work which hits US cinemas this Friday.
“I haven’t had an update for a while. I would imagine, I think they have a release date for next year, so I think by the end of this year we have to have started filming something. Although it has gone strangely quiet, but that’s often the way it goes,” Whishaw told Metro.
Filming something 'end of this year' gels nicely with the schedules followed by the last few Bond films, commencing shooting 10 months prior to the release date.
Although only a US date for Bond 25 has been announced it doesn't buck any recent trends: the film will be released in the US November 2019 but with an October premiere in the UK very likely.
