Tom Hardy fancies a crack at playing James Bond

British actor Tom Hardy has gone on the record as fancying the job of the next James Bond once Daniel Craig retires from his 007 contract.

Hardy, who is 10 years Craig's junior, said in an interview with Verity Geere on Magic 105.4 Breakfast Show, 'I’d love to play Bond with Chris Nolan as director or something, it would be awesome.'

He recently completed work on 'Dark Knight Rising', the third and final Batman film with director Christopher Nolan, another self-confessed Bond fan.
