Javier Bardem talks more about his role in 'Skyfall'
Actor Javier Bardem talked to the
Telegraph this weekend about his role as villain Silva on the new James Bond film 'Skyfall'.
"It's like a gift," he told the paper about his role. "I'm 43 years old, so I remember going to see the Bond movies with my father and mother."
Sam Mendes is doing a "great job" helming the film, and has nice things to say about Daniel Craig, too. "He's very, very funny, a great colleague, and so strong," he says of Craig. "He's shooting non-stop and I'm thinking: 'Oh my God, I don't know how you do it'. He's on top of all the stunts, and I go, 'man, if I were you, I would be a mess'. In my opinion, he's a great Bond."
On the subject of the women in the film, Bardem won't reveal whether there are any scenes that might give his wife Penelope Cruz reason to be jealous. "I can't tell you that," he laughs. "It's our little secret."
