Bond 24 confirmed for 2014 release by Sony
James Bond looks set to return to a biennial pattern of film releases with just two years between the upcoming adventure "Skyfall", and its successor Bond 24.
Speaking at the CinemaCon event in Las Vegas yesterday, Sony's President of Worldwide Distribution Rory Bruer announced that 007 would be back in cinemas for the 24th installment of the EON Productions franchise in 2014.
This announcement is in sync with earlier hints from the rejuvenated MGM that the studio was pushing to bring Bond back to a two-year cycle, with the companies penciling in the holiday season (November/December) in 2014 for the next movie.
Bond 24 is also Craig's first 'optional' film from his original contract, which like recent actors before him, was three films and the first refusal at a fourth.
