Jane Seymour says her Bond Girl role is distant history

It's almost 40 years since British actress Jane Seymour, now an American celebrity, took on the Bond girl role in Roger Moore's first outing as 007 in "Live And Let Die" at the tender age of 20.

In a brief interview with the Hollywood Reporter, Seymour says he has no regrets of immediately distancing herself from her big screen debut.

"It was a great experience, but after that I just realized I wanted to go back into the theater. I didn't really want to run three paces behind a man with a gun."

That decision - which led to roles Hamlet, Macbeth and Amadeus, among others - is something Seymour says a lot of people still question. "I think a lot of people thought that I failed by doing that, but I was looking at the big picture," she says. "It was just ridiculously exciting at the time. I was just 20 years old."
