Gemma Arterton recalls shooting her love scene with Daniel Craig
The BBC were on location at Pinewood studios to celebrate Bond Day, talking to Bond alumni about the experience on their respective Bond films.
Once of the interviews now available is with Gemma Arterton, the doomed lover of 007, Strawberry Fields in "Quantum of Solace". Arterton admits that she was naive when she took on the Bond role. "I just remember feeling like it was a dream. I didn't really take it too seriously."
In hindsight, the actress wishes "that I had more [screen time]," laughs Gemma. "I just saw Barbara Broccoli in the corridor and she said 'I wish I hadn't killed you off'."
What is it like doing a love scene with Daniel Craig, she is asked? "Awful," says Arterton, "one of the worst days of my life. Obviously it is kind of strange. And for me, it was my first scene..."
