Adele's 'Skyfall' theme enters Billboard Hot 100 chart at #8

Adele's title song for the new James Bond film "Skyfall" has entered the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart in the USA at #8 as a new entry.

Unfortunately, due to its release on Friday 5th October to coincide with global James Bond day, it lost a few days in heavy iTunes sales and airplay which did not count for its first full week on release. This also meant it missed out on a potential #1 spot in the UK, too.

The track is the seventh Bond song to crack the top 10 in America, and the first to do so since Madonna's "Die Another Day" in 2002. That track stayed at #8 for two weeks.
