Daniel Craig shoots down back-to-back Bond movie rumours
As MI6
first reported earlier this year, Daniel Craig is contracted for at least two more James Bond films.
When it was subsequently reported during the "Skyfall" UK opening that screenwriter John Logan is to pen the next two 007 outings with a 'connected' storyline, much of the trade press speculated that this could mean shooting two movies back to back (as did the Harry Potter and Twilight franchises). The blogosphere then ran away with this as a headline.
As stated at the time of first publication,
MI6 understood that this was not, and has never been, under consideration by the producers.
Daniel Craig has now confirmed that the rumour is false.
Speaking to
Filmstarts at the Berlin premiere, Craig said of the rumour: âNo, I donât know where thatâs come from. It's impossible to do a two parter, I heard that someone was talking about that weâre doing a two parter, but thatâs the first Iâve heard about it. We can only do them one at a time, they take six months to shoot. You canât write one movie thinking about the next. All weâre trying to do is get the next one sorted out and itâll stand on its own and if Iâm able Iâll do another one after that.â
