Scottish ties means strong business for 'Skyfall' north of the border
With the final act of the new James Bond film taking place in Scotland, the country is experiencing a new level of Bond Fever with cinemas across the country block-booking the 007 adventure.
Some culture commentators have been complaining in the media that having so many "Skyfall" screenings across Scotland's cinemas means that there are very few opportunities to see different types of films.
But the public gets what the public wants, with one cinema usher at the Fountainbridge Cineworld saying she amazed at what she branded Bond Mania. "I've never seen anything like this before for any other film. Itâs been phenomenal. All of the showings are busy and people just keep coming to see it."
On one single day last week in Edinburgh, there were 87 screenings of the film in the city.
