Sony Pictures release For Your Consideration entries for 'Skyfall'

Sony Pictures have released a list 'for your consideration' of talent from the box-office smash "Skyfall" for the upcoming Academy Awards (US) and BAFTA (UK) nominating season.

The categories being aimed at include: best picture, best director, best adapted screenplay, best actor (Craig), best supporting actor (Bardem, Fiennes, Finney, Whishaw), best supporting actress (Dench, Harris, Marlohe), best cinematography, best film editing, best art direction, best costume design, best makeup, best sound mixing, best sound editing, best visual effects, best original score, and best original song.

There has been industry chatter that "Skyfall" could make one of the 10 spots on the Best Picture list at this year's Oscars, although nobody is seriously expecting it to pull off a win.

More realistic is a gong for Adele in 'Best Original Song' (the category has struggled to fill its nominations in recent years) and Roger Deakins for 'Best Cinematography'.
