Adele's 'Skyfall' track nominated for Golden Globes Award
The title theme of the new James Bond film "Skyfall", performed by Adele, has been nominated for Best Original Song at the 2013 Golden Globe Awards.
Its success in landing a nomination follows news that it landed a Best Original Song nomination at the Academy Awards, despite the overly strict rules on what constitutes and 'original song'. There were some fears that as the music uses riffs of the 50 year-old James Bond theme, it would not be eligible.

The Golden Globes are ran by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, which in recent years has been ridiculed for its fawning to A-listers to have them attend the ceremony, and accusations of bribery and back-handers.
The results will be broadcast live on NBC on Sunday 13th January 2013.
