Quentin Tarantino no longer wants to direct a Bond film

16-Dec-2012 • Bond News

Director Quentin Tarantino told the BBC's Frontrow programme this week that he will never helm a James Bond film.

This is in large part academic as producers have turned down his advances in the past.

Tarantino regurgitated the tale of when he approached EON Productions to shoot "Casino Royale" with Pierce Brosnan as 007, but they decided to reboot the franchise with Daniel Craig and turned to Martin Campbell instead.

When asked he if would consider directing some other Bond installment, Tarantino replied: "No, 'Casino Royale' was the one I wanted to direct, they missed their opportunity."
