Adele reportedly pre-records 'Skyfall' performance for Oscar safety net

10-Feb-2013 • Bond News

According to tabloids, singer-songwriter Adele has pre-recorded a performance of her hit James Bond title song "Skyfall" in Los Angeles with a full orchestra, ahead of the Academy Awards ceremony later this month.

The recorded track is said to be a 'safety net' for Adele, who has never performed the song live before.

An "insider" told the Daily Mail: "Adele has every intention of singing live on the big night but, like every artist, she needs a back-up to avert disaster. She will be singing live to a worldwide audience of a billion people and the pre-recording is a safety net in case something goes wrong on the night."

Adele is up for Best Original Song at the Oscars.
