Pierce Brosnan says he wasn't invited to Oscars' 007 celebrations
At a press conference for "Love Is All You Need", former 007 Pierce Brosnan set the record straight about his seemingly cheeky comments at the time of the limp Oscars' tribute to Bond.
"I was at the market, which I go to every Sunday and one of these chappies from TMZ said, âSo Pierce, are you going to be there?â I said, âWell Iâm not going to be there. No one invited me.â I didnât even say no one invited me. I said, âI donât think Iâll be there. Itâs another manâs job.â It got blown into something else. Anyway it became I snubbed them. I didnât. I didnât get invited."
Of losing the love of his life, Bond girl Cassandra Harris, and then finding love again, Brosnan commented: âThe widowerâs world is not so groovy,â he said dryly, âwhen you lose someone who you really love, and then you have to go out and date again and you bump into the furniture. As a guy you go out and you trip the light fantastic and you come home and you just go, âWow! What was that about?â
Brosnan and Keely Shaye Smith have been married since 2001.
