Sir Roger Moore attends Michael Winner memorial

23-Jun-2013 • Actor News

The seven-time 007 actor appeared with fellow actor Sir Michael Caine at the memorial service for director, producer and critic Michael Winner, who passed away in January this year.

Winner was also remembered for establishing the Police Memorial Trust, and was honoured by Metropolitan Police Commissioner Sir Bernard Hogan-Howe and Prime Minister David Cameron at the service.

Moore, Caine, and Winner had previously worked together on "Bullseye!" (1990)

Moore told the media he felt Winner's work with the police was "very fine and noble", adding "My father was a police officer stationed at Bow Street, and when Michael Caine and I made a film together with Michael Winner, I was impersonating a police officer and Mr Winner arranged that I could have a uniform that bore my father's number PC168E, which I wore with great pride."
