Court lifts booze ban on George Lazenby
One-time James Bond star George Lazenby is licensed to tipple again after a divorce court lifted restrictions on his enjoyment of vodka martini's and other alcoholic beverages (Lazenby is known to much prefer a cold beer).
Radar Online reports that the former 007 and his former wife Pam Shriver went to a Los Angeles court in January to have a judge overturn a booze ban that Shriver, 50, had insisted a judge impose on 73-year-old Lazenby, who she previously claimed was an alcoholic. And Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Robert Willett agreed to sign off on 007′s license to drink.
âRespondent is restrained and enjoined from consuming alcohol 12 hours prior to his custodial time with the minor children and during his custodial time with the children⦠is herby vacated,â a stipulation and order document, originally signed off by the pair on January 10th.
During the coupleâs contention court battle, Shriver had ripped the lid of the Queanbeyan-raised Lazenbyâs battle with the bottle. The pair later settled their dispute with shared custody. Lazenby, for his part, insisted to the court: âI am not a violent or aggressive person.â
