Purvis and Wade receive honorary degrees from the University of Kent
The two screenwriters of six James Bond adventures, Neal Purvis and Robert Wade, returned to the university of their youth to receive honorary degrees.
"We were put in to share bunk beds at the university, so that's how we met. You get to know someone quite well when they're above you or below you and stayed friends ever since," Purvis told the
BBC
They were both enrolled in degrees at the University of Kent but Mr. Purvis quickly realised his chosen philosophy major was not going to be for him. He retreated to the Polytechnic of Central London to pursue his passion: film.
Although their Bond days are on the back burner now, even after the success of "Skyfall", their upcoming projects include a film adaption of the successful TV police drama, Kojak, and a project based on the Barbarella comics.
