Two new Michael Gillette Ian Fleming covers available as prints
Michael Gillette designed fantastic pop-art covers for the 2008 re-release of Ian Fleming's novels in hardback, thus marking the 100th anniversary of 007 creator, Ian Fleming's birth.
So taken with his covers were other publishers that the later commissioned Gillette to transpose his designs for foreign languages. This meant some minor tweaks to the Bond girls, whose backs the titles invariably adorn. Gillette was also gifted with the opportunity to refine his self-confessed least-perfected cover, "Thunderball".
Now, German versions of the artwork for "
On Her Majesty's Secret Service" and "
Thunderball" are available as art prints.
