Pierce Brosnan on making peace with life after Bond
Former James Bond star Pierce Brosnan talked to Saga magazine this month about life after 007 and how is has worked hard to forge a film career after Bond.
"I grew up watching Sean Connery struggle and strive to pull away from James Bond and he couldnât, you know," he said.
"I knew going in (to Bond) that I was going to have the mantle and stamp of this man (007) for the rest of my life. You have to make peace with that, is the simple version of it."
"Then you have to challenge yourself afterwards to find characters that will transform you slowly, bit by bit, and you need to have the patience and stamina to do that. Iâve done that because I was used to doing it â Iâve had to fight rotten for every job Iâve ever got."
