Pierce Brosnan to star with Liam Neeson in new film for Irish charity
The two Irish actors will return home to shoot "A Christmas Star", filmed for the charity, Cinemagic International Film and Television Festival for Young People. Both actors are patrons of the charity and the production is to mark its 25th anniversary. Brosnan and Neeson previously worked together in the 2006 film, "Seraphim Falls".
Julian Fellowes (of "Downton Abby" fame) is also behind the new project. He announced the production in late March at a Q&A session. The team assembled also includes Bond alumnus Terry Bamber and will shoot in Belfast in October for a Christmas release.
In accordance with the charity's aims, professionals from the film industry will be on hand to mentor young aspiring filmmakers as they shoot the picture. Young filmmakers wanting to get involved will be called for in May.
