Original 'Goldfinger' poster sells for £2,000 pounds at auction
Anderson and Garland in Newcastle recently auctioned off an original "Goldfinger" quad poster, amongst a number of other classic film posters, and the prized collection made four figures for its owner.
Peter Douglas, the owner of the posters, began collecting when he was a projectionist at Classic Cinema in Low Fell, Gateshead,
the Journal explains.
The 1964 "Goldfinger" quad was the highest selling item in the collection, scraping an impressive £2,000.
The owner remarked: "I wish Iâd paid more interest to the posters â the room at The Classic was full of them. I didnât realise they had any value until a few years ago."
The total collection fetched £3,130 at auction earlier this week.
