Chiwetel Ejiofor dubs Bond 'an extraordinary franchise'
Careful not to intimate that any offer had been made, the "12 Years A Slave" star whose name has been associated with the 24th 007 adventure since the news broke
earlier this month has spoken about his feelings towards the Bond legacy.
Chiwetel Ejiofor, interviewed as part of a press regime for his film "Half Of A Yellow Sun", which is released in the USA later this year, said: "It's not for me to talk about that really, but it's an extraordinary franchise obviously." The Bond question was inevitable, but it still appears to have caught Ejiofor off guard and the actor appeared reticent in the interview.
He also confirmed that his latest film, "Z for Zachariah", had just finished shooting in New Zealand. "It was the first time I'd done a film that is a three-hander. It was a really great experience just to work with two other actors. We were in quite a remote part in the South Island and it is a really interesting story to tell, so I'm really excited about it."
