Bond 24 taps Christopher Nolan's 'Batman' film editor Lee Smith

11-Oct-2014 • Spectre (2015)

According to several sources, Lee Smith will edit Bond 24.

The Australian film editor, who is also an accomplished sound designer, is famous for his work on the Christopher Nolan 'Batman' trilogy. Born in 1960 in Sydney, his other recent top credits include 'Inception', 'X-Men: First Class', 'Elysium' and the upcoming 'Interstellar'. Lee has received Oscar and Bafta nominations for his work in Film Editing.

Lee is another member of 'Team Nolan' that has been tapped to work on James Bond's 24th big screen adventure, after MI6 confirmed last month that cinematographer Hoyte Van Hoytema will also be on 007 duty.

Christopher Nolan himself has frequently been linked to a future Bond production, and if that ever happens, his core creative team will already have experience on the franchise.
