Cinematographer Hoyte van Hoytema talks about Bond 24
The Swedish cinematographer who has come off the back of Christopher Nolan's "Interstellar" admits that 007 was an attraction because of Bond 24's helmsman, Sam Mendes.
"I first always look to the director. That's what I also did with 'Interstellar'. And in this case it was Sam Mendes, who I admire a lot and with whom I really wanted to work with. The fact that I'm now part of the James Bond franchise is a lovely thing," van Hoytema told ad.nl. "If you have to work on a film franchise, then why not James Bond."
He described himself as in daily conversations with the other filmmakers about 'Bond 24', adding that he hoped his work on the picture would start this year. As ever, he refused to confirm details.
