'Live And Let Die' costume designer Julie Harris has passed away

Julie Harris, the long-serving costume designer who worked throughout the golden age of British film, has passed away age 94.

With over 83 credits to her name between 1947 and 1991, Harris worked on both US and UK productions, and has two Bond films to her name. As well as costuming Roger Moore's debut outing in 1973, her first brush with Bond was the Peter Sellars spy-spoof "Casino Royale" (1967).

In 1966 Harris won an Oscar for her work on "Darling", the Julie Christie/Dirk Bogarde starrer. The following year she won a BAFTA for "The Wrong Box" and throughout her career earned five other awards nominations for her designs, including for her work on "Casino Royale".

Her friend Jo Botting confirmed to the BBC that the designer had passed away at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital on Sunday.
