Fresh reports suggest Adele will not sing 'SPECTRE' song

05-Jun-2015 • Spectre (2015)

Cutting against the chorus of voices that tout Adele as the title-song artist for SPECTRE is a lone reporter at Showbiz411.

Roger Friedman, who back in 2012 revealed the lyrics to the chorus of her theme for Bond 23, reports bluntly that "Adele is NOT the singer of theme song", reminding people to "simmer down".

The rest of the feature speculates that EON have gone with a male voice this time around and that they would not be prepared to indulge a less tuneful voice, pointing to Jack White and Madonna as examples of the direction in which the producers would be unlikely to go. This seems purely wishful thinking.

Adele and her title track were officially revealed to the world on 1st October 2012, only three and a half weeks out from the films' release. The schedule will be similar for SPECTRE, giving tabloids and blogs another four long months for speculation and rumour.

Meanwhile Adele's long-awaited third album is said to be released later this year.

Thanks to Joshua for the alert.
