Daniel Craig's pal Mark Strong thinks he's done with 007
Daniel Craig's good friend and fellow actor Mark Strong thinks his pal is done with 007. Having starred in four James Bond films, Strong told
ShortList that he believes Craig will holster his PPK and not come back for a fifth time.
Asked whether Strong would like to play a Bond villain, he said: "Do you know what, Iâd have loved to have played the villain in a Bond movie while Daniel was doing it because heâs a pal and that would have been great. But I think heâs come to the end of his Bond time and so itâs probably never going to happen, but that would have always been great."
"Having played so many villains, it would have been wonderful to have done the villain of villains, if you like. Because a Bond villain has a status all of his own."
Asked if he could try and convince Craig to do one more film, Strong said: "Well, I will try, believe me, I will do my best. But there are powers at work greater than us who make all these decisions. He has been [wonderful] and heâs loved it. But I think he feels like heâs mined it. Heâs done what he wants with it. That point has come."
