Tom Hiddleston in 'advanced talks' to take over if Daniel Craig opts out

Daniel Craig has the option of a fifth film as James Bond, but the actor has so far (according to reports) rebuffed an offer from MGM that would also tie him to a sixth outing.

Last week, English actor Tom Hiddleston was spotted with Barbara Broccoli and Sam Mendes in London in the small hours of the morning.

According to the blog Birth.Movies.Death, "Tom Hiddleston is in fact in advanced talks to take over the role."

Choosing words carefully, their source "confirms that while talks have indeed taken place, and that Hiddleston very much wants the job (a fact of which he’s made no secret), no official offer has been made - yet."
