New look Coventry Transport Museum (UK) features Zao`s Jaguar XKR from `Die Another Day`
The new look Coventry Transport Museum (UK) has thrown its doors open for the first time. The museum has unveiled a new entrance area and four galleries.
For the first time there is an introductory gallery explaining the museumâs collection plus a 1980s and 1990s gallery bringing the recent history of the car industry to the museum for the first time.
An interactive âFuturesâ gallery exploring hi-tech developments and other modern day transport issues has been installed, and a temporary exhibition gallery for regular high profile displays is also in place.
Museum chairman Joe Elliott said that the displays will give a âpeopleâs eye viewâ of road transport history.
"Coventry was the birthplace of Britainâs cycle and car industries and we have hundreds of cars, cycles and motor cycles in the museum," he said.
"These exciting new developments have given us the opportunity to do justice to this fantastic heritage."
