Dame Judi Dench backs Pierce Brosnan to return in Bond 21

Dame Judi Dench, who has played "M" in the last four Bond films, has dismissed reports that the 50-year-old Irishman, one of the most successful of the actors to take on the role, is to be replaced by the likes of Colin Farrell, Jude Law, Paul Bettany, Ewan McGregor and Hugh Jackman.

"I think Pierce should play Bond … and I think he will", said Dench to Ireland Online.

MGM chief Chris McGurk told Variety earlier this week that announcements on the casting for 007 in Bond 21 will be announced "in the next few months".
