Pierce Brosnan `touched` by Dame Judi Dench backing him for Bond 21

When Dame Judi Dench went on the record backing Pierce Brosnan to play James Bond for one more time in the 21st movie of the series, the four-times 007 was `touched`.

Back in April this year, Dench said "I think Pierce should play Bond... and I think he will", whilst praising the Irish actor.

The current "M" declared Brosnan as the only sensible choice for another 007 outing.

"I was over the moon by her statement, so pleased," said Pierce sounding genuinely moved, in a recent interview.

"Her words really touched me, I'll have to send her a good bottle of Dom Perignon or a bouquet of roses..."
