Film event in Telford, UK, with Caroline Munro gets cancelled due to sunny weather

14-Jun-2004 • Event

Organisers of a film and television show which attracted stars from the James Bond movies and TV's Dr Who were forced to cancel its second day after sunshine kept the fans away, reports the Shropshire Star.

Alan Crowe, who had managed to bring Caroline Munro, who played Naomi in "The Spy Who Loved Me", along with Dr Who's Colin Baker, Star Wars' Kenny Baker, Carry On's Jack Douglas, to Telford, said today he was "bitterly disappointed".

The show opened on Saturday at the Telford International Centre but poor attendance figures meant yesterday's part of the event was abandoned.

"I think the sunshine kept a lot of people away," said Mr Crowe.
