007`s Ford Mustang Mach 1 from `Diamonds Are Forever` up for auction this weekend

James Bond's Ford Mustang from "Diamonds Are Forever" is going under the hammer this weekend, reports Yahoo Finance.

The Los Angeles Collector Car Auction will feature a line-up of celebrity owned cars headed by Pamela Anderson's own bright red 1960 Cadillac Convertible.

Cars from the big and small screens will include the 1971 Ford Mustang Mach 1 used in the James Bond movie 'Diamonds Are Forever' -- Sean Connery's final "official" turn as 007; and from TV's #1 hit comedy show Seinfeld, a 1993 Chevrolet Caprice New York City Taxi Cab that was used as the favored mode of transport by the four New York friends.

The Fourth Annual Barrett-Jackson Los Angeles Collector Car Auction at the Petersen Automotive Museum will also feature; a 2002 Mercedes-Benz CLK55 being sold by Sylvester Stallone -- this special car is fitted with a racing interior and used as the Pace and Safety Car during the 2002 United States Formula One Grand Prix, was subsequently given to Stallone by AMG and F1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone; a 1934 Ford 3-Window Hot Rod Coupe that actor Kurt Russell will be selling at No Reserve. Also, award winning actress Jodi Foster will be selling her 1969 Volkswagen Beetle Convertible at No Reserve, a car that she has owned since new.

Both Pamela Anderson and Kurt Russell are scheduled to attend the auction in person to be on hand when their cars cross the auction block on Saturday.

Other celebrity cars include a 1976 Rolls-Royce Corniche Fixed Head Coupe formerly owned by the sporting world's "Greatest" Muhammad Ali and a 1960 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe that was owned by Major League Baseball All-Star and MVP Keith 'Mex' Hernandez.

The Barrett-Jackson Auction at The Petersen Automotive Museum will be held on Saturday, June 26 from 10am to 5pm, and Sunday, June 27 from 11am to 5pm. The auction will begin each day with 100 lots of authentic automobilia. The car segment of the auction will start at 10AM on Saturday, and 11AM on Sunday.
