Clive Owen rules himself out as James Bond # 6 - Pierce Brosnan is `doing the next one`

Despite a recent BBC Radio interview in which Clive Owen said he had 15 minutes with Bond studio execs, the "Croupier" star now says being the next James Bond is out of the question according to About.com.

“No talks whatsoever,” Owen asserted. “All media speculation, all rumor. Never been anything official whatsoever.”



Though many fans have embraced his casting, Owen says he has no dreams of becoming 007.

“I don't think about it. I really don’t think about it. I think Pierce Brosnan has been fantastic, reinvigorated the franchise, made a fortune. As far as everyone knows, he’s doing the next one and they should come out and back him because he is James Bond. He’s the man.”
