Beware the tabloid trash - Jessica Simpson is the latest blonde bimbo linked to James Bond 21

Pop singer Jessica Simpson has been approached to become the next Bond girl, Teen Hollywood "reports" today - in their usual hyped up tabloid trash style.



Simpson, 23 - who appears in the MTV reality series Newlyweds with husband Nick Lachey - would be the love interest of Pierce Brosnan in his last outing as 007 according to the hacks.



"Jessica is being mentioned as a possible Bond girl," their "source" told them. "They really want Catherind (sic) Zeta-Jones but it doesn't look like she's going to be available."

The "source" added: "Britney's just too well known for other things even though she has the kind of popularity with kids the producers are looking for."

Little does their inside "source" know, MGM said "no thanks" to the pop princess back in February and she left a meeting empty handed.

MI6 Rumour Rating: Bond will go to the moon (again) before Teen Hollywood get a real scoop.
