007`s Lotus Esprit from `The Spy Who Loved Me` voted most desirable screen car

23-Jul-2004 • Bond News

James Bond's white Lotus Esprit, from the film, "The Spy Who Loved Me", has been named the UK's most desirable screen vehicle, reports The Daily Record.

The superspy's car cruised to victory with nearly a third of the vote in an online poll, beating KITT from Knight Rider into second place.

The Bondmobile was fitted with rear firing sprayers, and a flick of a switch could turn it into a submarine with surface-to-air missiles, underwater smoke screens and torpedoes.

Third place in the poll was taken by the DeLorean from Back To The Future.

Thanks to `Goldeneye` for the alert.
