Ian Fleming`s Goldeneye Jamaican estate to house film festival in December
Palm Pictures head and Island Records founder Chris Blackwell is expanding his flagship Island Outpost property -- also known as Goldeneye, James Bond creator Ian Fleming's former Jamaican home -- into the site of the newly launched Goldeneye Film Festival, says the
Hollywood Reporter.
Palm executive David Koh will serve as the fest's artistic director and co-founder along with Blackwell.
An estimated 150 films are slated to screen at the fest -- most via DVD format -- with additional screenings at Oracabessa Bay's Cove Cinemas and an outdoor venue. A full lineup for the festival, which runs Dec. 8-13, is in the works.
