Michelle `Wai Lin` Yeoh to marry Ferrari Formula 1 boss Jean Todt

29-Sep-2004 • Actor News

Hong Kong-based action star and former Bond girl Michelle Yeoh is to marry Ferrari motor racing team boss Jean Todt, an AFP press report said on Wednesday.

Yeoh, a former Miss Malaysia who played Wai Lin in the 1997 James Bond film "Tomorrow Never Dies", announced she had been dating Todt in August.

The glamorous couple let the secret out of the bag at a star-studded diamond trade event on Tuesday when French tycoon Todt revealed he had proposed to the former beauty queen, the South China Morning Post reported.

"I proposed to her and now we are engaged," a beaming Todt, 58, was quoted as saying.

The pair have had a whirlwind romance since meeting at a Ferrari event in Shanghai in June. They were introduced by Yeoh's former boyfriend of four years, Hong Kong movie producer Thomas Chung. The two were seen together in Shanghai again last weekend during the Chinese Grand Prix, which was won by Ferrari driver Rubens Barrichello.
