Sir Sean Connery tells MSPs to act like `real politicians`
Sir Sean Connery yesterday called on MSPs to use the new parliament to act like 'real politicians'. The James Bond star also urged the public to give them a chance to show what they're made of, reports the
Daily Record (UK).
Speaking ahead of the opening, Sir Sean said: "The Holyrood project has been a damaging controversy but we are where we are. Now that it is finished, it is hugely impressive and outstanding and it is surely time to make the most of it."
"It is a real parliament building and it is now up to the MSPs to act like real parliamentarians. And it is up to the rest of the country to give them a fair chance to show what they can do."
"It is a second chance to take the country forward as the parliament was always meant to do.' The SNP supporter said he still had fond memories of the first opening five years ago and hoped for 'more of the same' today.
