EA Games hit the 30 million units mark for James Bond 007 videogames
"James Bond is the biggest movie-based gaming franchise in history," says MGM [executive] Chris McGurk.
"EA games have sold something like 30 million units. The movies market the video games, and the video games market the movies."
So popular are the games that the production company can afford the talents, likenesses and voices of Pierce Brosnan, Willem Dafoe, Heidi Klum, Shannon Elizabeth and Judi Dench appeared in the last title, "Everything or Nothing". What McGurk doesn't mention is that the gamers are largely in their teens.
Henry Cabot Beck, writing on "Never Say Never Again â and Again" in the November issue of Premiere magazine comments, "Which may have something to do with the fact that the next time we see Bond on movie screens, in his 21st adventure, he'll probably be wearing a different, younger face."
