Details finalised for US release of Ian Fleming`s Chitty Chitty Bang Bang paperback

As first reported on MI6 back in September last year, Ian Fleming's children's novel "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" is to be republished in the USA.

The version illustrated by Brian Selznick was previously released in the UK on October 1st 2003, but it will be released in the USA on April 26th 2005, one day ahead of the US release of the new Young Bond novel "SilverFin" by Charlie Higson.



Ian Fleming, best known for his James Bond novels, wrote only one children’s book—and it is a classic! Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is the name of the flying, floating, driving-by-itself automobile that takes the Pott family on a riotous series of adventures as they try to capture a notorious gang of robbers. This is a story filled with humor, adventure, and gadgetry that only a genius like Fleming could create.
