Brosnan says he is going for Connery`s record
Pierce Brosnan has spoken out in this months edition of Film Review about his Bond desires beyond "Die Another Day":
"I couldn`t be happier to be around for the 40th anniversary. I have a great sense of pride in the legacy. And I`m allowing myself to have that pride and enjoy it. I`ve also allowed myself the grace to ask should this be the last? There`s no reason why I can`t continue and I do want to make at least another. It has nothing to do with the stunts proving more difficult but there will come a time when I`ll just have to back off."
"I don`t want the movies to loom large as boring chores even though the six-month shoots are exhausting. Sean Connery made six and that sounds a good number to me, too. Do I want to break his record and do seven? I`m 49 years old now and that would mean another seven years at least. I don`t know about you, but I wouldn`t buy a senior citizen James Bond!"
