Denise Richards requests respect from the media following divorce announcement

Following her announcement last week that she was to divorce Charlie Sheen, former James Bond girl Denise Richards has requested respect from the media.

The split couple reunited briefly to ask the press to give them peace and respect as they adjust to being single again.



Pregnant Denise Richards filed for divorce earlier this week, citing irreconcilable differences. The couple married in June 2002.

And now the separated stars have teamed up to release a joint statement: "We're deeply saddened by the recent events and, out of love and concern for our daughter Sam, our unborn child and each other, we ask that you respect our privacy at this difficult time."
