Roger Moore and Judi Dench attend Sir John Mills funeral

30-Apr-2005 • Actor News

Former James Bond actor Sir Roger Moore attended the funeral of Oscar winning British actor Sir John Mills in St. Mary's Church in Denham, England on Wednesday this week.

Dame Judi Dench, who played M in the last four 007 films, was also in attendence.

Sir John died on Saturday aged 97 at his home in the town where he had lived for 30 years. His coffin arrived outside the church in a horse-drawn Victorian-style hearse decked with flowers and was followed by a cortege of dark Rolls-Royces carrying his family.

Parish rector the Rev Adrian Hirst paid tribute to his work, "which touched the lives of all of us here and the lives of millions of others who saw him over the years in theatre and in films".

Thanks to `Lady Templar` for the alert.
