Kylie set for Bond Girl role according to tabloids and web hype

Kylie Minogue has received some good news as she recovers from breast cancer surgery - she's set to become the latest James Bond girl if this week's rumours are to be believed.

According to reports on movie news site Latino Review (echoed from UK tabloid paper The Sun), the ailing Aussie is in negotiations to play a female lead in the upcoming 007 film "Casino Royale", and is a "red-hot favourite" to land the part.

An "insider" told the paper, "Producers had hoped to speak with her by now, but she got ill. Chances are there will be discussions soon."

What is known is this: no casting decisions have officially been made, including the role of James Bond according to Eon Productions. Martin Campbell will direct and shooting is scheduled to commence in January 2006 in Prague and South Africa for release in October 2006.
