Pierce Brosnan concedes he is now too old for the James Bond role

18-Jun-2005 • Casino Royale

Pierce Brosnan yesterday finally ruled out playing James Bond again, saying: “I am too old at 52.” - reports The Sun.

He spoke after Dame Judi Dench — who plays spy chief M — claimed he would play 007 in the remake of Casino Royale (note: she later u-turned on this comment).

But Pierce said: “A few years ago I would have said I could imagine playing James Bond in a more ferocious way.

“Like a sort of Quentin Tarantino character — but now, at 52, I am definitely too old.”
