`Diamonds are Forever` ball in Stanstead, UK - July 8th
The âDiamonds are Foreverâ Ball on Friday 8 July looks set to be a complete sell out!
Local charity InterAct is arranging the James Bond themed event at the Radisson SAS Hotel Stansted Airport and the fundraising team have been surprised by the reasons guests have booked tickets. âSome of our guests are senior business people who are entertaining clients at the event while others are complete James Bond fanatics who cannot wait to meet the surprise guests we have lined up,â says Simone Robinson, Head of Fundraising at InterAct. âWe have also been contacted by a number of people who are celebrating birthdays, anniversaries and even a work reunion!â
InterAct is an Essex charity enabling local people with mental health problems and learning disabilities to transform their lives. The charity co-ordinates skill acquisition projects, social enterprises, circles of support and also send recycled computers to Africa in order to help African people beat the poverty trap.
The James Bond theme of the âDiamonds are Foreverâ Ball will run throughout the event including Bond cars at the entrance, a 007 ice sculpture from which guests can enjoy a drink of vodka and a white chocolate fountain to accompany the champagne reception. âOn booking their tickets guests receive detailed instructions from âMâ regarding the evening and are asked to contact Miss Moneypenny for dietary requirements etc,â says Simone. âApparently we are not allowed to take our âQâ gadgets on to the dance floor!â In addition to a three course meal, charity raffle, casino tables and live entertainment guests will also have the chance to bid on some unusual auction items. âFrom a Shirley Bassey signed disc of âDiamonds are Foreverâ and a diamond necklace to a trip in the Capital Eye helicopter the auction is certainly going to be a highlight of the evening.â
InterAct has only a few tables still available for this prestigious event. For further information please contact Simone Robinson on Tel: 01245 608250 or email: fundraising@interact.org.uk
