Jane Seymour defends her topless scenes

Actress Jane Seymour has been talking about her role as a femme fatale in the new comedy hit Wedding Crashers - reports ITV.

Fans of the 54-year-old's more prim performances in Dr Quinn Medicine Woman are said to have been scandalised by her steamy bedroom scenes with co-star Owen Wilson.

But Seymour insists it was all done in the best possible taste!

She said: "When I first read it I thought 'gosh, there's no way I can do this'.

"But then I thought, reading it again, this is just too good and there has to be a way of doing this.

"So I found a way of doing it that I feel really comfortable with.

"I don't think anybody is going to be ultimately that offended by it but it certainly is impactful.

The former Bond girl said she was determined to get the part of middle-aged seductress Kathleen "Kitty Kat" Cleary after reading the hilarious Wedding Crashers script.

"It's just a hysterical premise. It's a very, very funny film and I just thought it was a really funny role," she said.

MI6 first reported Seymour's decision to go topless in The Wedding Crashers two weeks ago.
