Aston Martin DB5 `mirror car` from Corgi delayed until Casino Royale

11-Jul-2005 • Collecting

The limited edition Aston Martin DB5 "mirror car", which Corgi were releasing to celebrate their 40th anniversary with 007, has been put on hold.

The model is still in development and is not cancelled, but the release date has been shifted from September 2005 to October/November 2006 to coincide with the release of "Casino Royale" in theatres.

MI6 can exclusively reveal that the car featured in this special cut-away design may not ultimately be the DB5. Depending on the model used in "Casino Royale", a Corgi spokesperson told MI6 that the car might change to that used in the 21st James Bond film.
