Over half of James Bond fans want 007 #6 to be British, says latest MI6 poll
Results from the latest "Casino Royale" poll on MI6 - the world's most visited James Bond website - reveal that over half of fans want the next 007 to be played by a British actor.
The results of the poll clash with who many see as the new favourite to win the James Bond role - Croatian actor Goran Visnjic. The other three actors from the final cour contenders -
named this weekend - are Brits Henry Cavill and Ewan Stewart, and Australian Alex O'Lachlan.
There was an almost equal split between those not specifying that James Bond should be British: one half voting that nationality of the actor did not matter, and the others voting that he should be foreign!
Should the next James Bond actor be British?
Yes - 56.15 %
Does not matter - 21.57 %
No - 22.28 %
